I'm from St. Paul, MN. I love writing, particularly to show and not to tell, and to say stuff that most people are afraid to say, or that sounds cool. I love words. I love philosophy. I'm cynical. I'm a Christian, but not in the typical condescending, idiotic, asshole kind of way. I'm generally suspect of people and don't like it when people think they know something. Blues music, country and western, Bob Dylan, rap, and Grain Belt Premium are all awesome.
Erik Ritland - acoustic, electric, 12-string, and bass guitars, piano, vocals, drums.
An album of varied sounds and lyrical content. Contains everything from fun, Carter Family/Woody Guthrie-ish country to dark, weighty, apocalyptic folk/rock. Each song has its own unique texture and feel, which keeps the album interesting the whole way through.
